The SeaDek installation process starts with a free on-site consultation. We come to your boat wherever it is and walk you through the entire process, including color selection, design options, pricing, and timeline. You get a full picture of the project before committing to anything.
Once you are ready to proceed, we return with our digital templating equipment. We create a precise digital template of your boat's deck surfaces, capturing every hatch, drain, cleat, fitting, and edge. This digital file goes to our fabrication facility for CNC cutting. The result is panels cut to millimeter precision.
Installation day starts with thorough surface prep. We clean the deck surface, remove any old flooring or residue, and ensure the surface is properly prepared for adhesion. Marine-grade pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied to the panels and the deck. Each panel is positioned, pressed, and rolled for a permanent bond.
After installation, we walk you through care and maintenance. SeaDek is easy to maintain. Regular rinsing with fresh water, occasional cleaning with SeaDek's own cleaner, and avoiding harsh chemicals is all it takes to keep your installation looking perfect for years.
