Is there a minimum project size?

We work on all boat sizes, from jet skis and small bass boats to large pontoons and center consoles. There is no minimum project size. Every job includes digital templating and professional CNC-cut fabrication.

Do you charge for the consultation?

No. We offer a free on-site consultation where we visit your boat, take measurements, and walk you through color and design options. There is no obligation.

Installation Process

How long does SeaDek installation take?

Most installations take 4 to 8 hours on-site depending on the size and complexity of the project. There is no curing time, so your boat is ready to use the same day.

Do I need to bring my boat to a shop?

No. AK Marine Solutions is fully mobile. We come to your marina, dock, driveway, or storage facility anywhere in our service area. You never need to trailer your boat.

What is digital templating?

Digital templating is the process we use to precisely measure your boat deck. We scan every curve, hatch, cleat, and cutout so your SeaDek panels are fabricated to an exact fit with no gaps, no offsets, and no guesswork.

How are the panels cut?

After digital templating, we use CNC machines to cut every panel to exact tolerances. This is far more precise than hand-cutting and ensures a factory-quality finish on every installation.

Durability and Maintenance

How long does SeaDek last?

Properly installed SeaDek typically lasts 7 to 12 years with normal use and care. It is UV-resistant, waterproof, and engineered to handle Texas heat, saltwater, and heavy foot traffic.

How do I clean SeaDek?

SeaDek is low-maintenance. Rinse with fresh water after use. For deeper cleaning, use a soft brush with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive pads. SeaDek does not absorb water, mold, or mildew like carpet.

Will SeaDek fade in the Texas sun?

SeaDek is manufactured with UV stabilizers to resist fading. Colors will remain vibrant significantly longer than marine carpet or vinyl under Texas sun exposure.

Design and Colors

What colors and patterns are available?

SeaDek is available in 30+ colors and several textures including brushed, fish scale, and carbon fiber patterns. You can also do two-tone and multi-color designs. We will show you samples during your free consultation.

Can I add custom logos or text?

Yes. SeaDek can be CNC-cut with custom logos, brand names, fish outlines, and other design elements. This is a popular option for tournament fishing boats and custom builds.
